Moss requests quotes from every network that carries your pair and routes the swap to the one with the highest expected output after fees. The full fee breakdown is shown before you send anything.

How long does a swap take?

Accepted Answer

Most swaps complete in 5–15 minutes. The time is dominated by source-chain confirmations — Bitcoin deposits need one block (~10 minutes), while faster chains confirm in seconds.

Why is a memo required?

Accepted Answer

The memo tells the protocol what to swap and where to send the output. It is decoded on-chain by the network itself. If your wallet cannot attach a memo to the deposit transaction, do not send — funds may be lost.

Question 6

Can I receive Zcash on a shielded address?

Accepted Answer

No. Protocol vaults operate on transparent Zcash addresses (t1…). You can forward funds to your shielded address after the swap arrives.
